Ryan has an extensive practice experience in mental health and addictions and received his PhD in Health Psychology at the University of Auckland and a MSc in Clinical Psychology after a BSc in Psychology. He has completed advanced studies in mental health and addictions through the PGDip in Psychological Practice at Massey University and PGDipHSc in Mental Health and Addictions at Auckland University of Technology. Ryan is a NZPB Registered Psychologist and DAPAANZ registered Addictions practitioner. He received several fellowships in the UK for developmental science, in the USA for cognitive development, and in Aotearoa New Zealand for clinical education & safety, he was also invited as scholar/ fellow in refugee and migration studies.
